Pinellas County Schools Referendum

The referendum for Pinellas County Schools is on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. Voters originally approved the half-mil tax in 2004 and renewed it again in 2008.

Since it was first approved, referendum funding has brought $237 million in additional funding to Pinellas County Schools. Eighty percent goes to teacher salary supplements; the remaining 20 percent is split between reading, art, music and technology. Every penny goes directly to Pinellas County Schools.
