1. The People's Budget Review is a month-old iniative to try and collect surveys getting St. Pete's input on the city's budget. This week the group is nearing its first milestone. The People's Budget Review now has more than 1,950 surveys taken. The surveys will be presented to the city council at the first public hearing on the budget, which is in September. 

2. St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster and members of City Council are now working on the Fiscal Year 2013 city budget. Residents are invited to the first of three Public Budget Summits to share their input on future needs and funding priorities. The Public Budget Summit will be held Wednesday evening, April 25, 6 p.m., at J.W. Cate Recreation Center, 5801 22nd Ave. N.

3. Hey guys and dolls, did you know Canterbury is putting on a performance of "Guys and Dolls"? Canterbury School of Florida Arts Education Program Presents
“Guys and Dolls”, which is based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon. The performances begin tonight and run through Saturday. Tickets are $20 at the door. Students are $5.  

4. The "Spring Fling" is this weekend in the historic Old Northeast neighborhood. Starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, head over to 203 20th Ave N, which is the home of Laura and Frank Fage. Bring some food and drinks, and come out to meet your neighbors. The event is free and lasts until 10 p.m. 

5. Patch is partnering with Feeding America Tampa Bay to help feed the needy in our community. Help us gather 2,000lbs of food. We'll take care of the heavy lifting but we need your help to gather food for hunger families in St. Pete and Tampa Bay. Leave spare nonperishable’s in our drop-off boxes, which are located at Cafe Bohemia , Hooker Tea and Bentley's Boutique .
