Cirque du Soleil's Kooza Under the Big Top at the Trop
Tickets are now on sale for the limited engagement shows, which run Nov. 8 - Dec. 9.
Under the big top in the parking lot at the Trop, Cirque du Soleil will present KOOZA from Nov. 8 - Dec. 9.
According to Cirque, KOOZA is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil that combines two circus traditions – acrobatic performance and the art of clowning.
“KOOZA is about human connection and the world of duality, good and bad,” said the show's writer and director David Shiner in a news release. “The tone is fun and funny, light and open. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it’s very much about ideas, too. As it evolves we are exploring concepts such as fear, identity, recognition and power.”
The show involves 53 performers, and according to the performance's description will involve stunts never performed under the big top.
"Between strength and fragility, laughter and smiles, turmoil and harmony, KOOZA is set in an electrifying and exotic visual world full of surprises, thrills, chills, audacity and total involvement.
The show presents an unprecedented approach to the High Wire and a breathtaking Wheel of Death – an act that Cirque du Soleil has never before presented under the big top."
Tickets start at $43.50 for adults and $33 for children age 2 - 12. Tickets are available online at cirquedusoleil.com/kooza.
