Coffee Enemas Land St. Pete Couple on 'My Strange Addiction' TV Show
The St. Petersburg couple's interesting habit will be featured on the Feb. 13 season premiere of the TLC reality show.
You won't believe one St. Petersburg couple's unique answer to the question "How do you take your coffee?"
The couple's addiction to coffee enemas — yes, you read that correctly — has landed them a spot on the reality TV show "My Strange Addiction."
The couple, Mike and Trina, who did not want to reveal their last name, talked about their proclivity for caffeinated enemas with ABCNews.com and said they have at least 100 of the enemas per month.
"I started the whole debacle," Trina told the news site. "Then it took on a life of its own. I twice tried to stop and felt worse, so I do this every day and as much as I can. But it's very time-consuming."
The couple refuses to drink coffee, saying it is bad for their health. Instead, they say the coffee enemas clean out their lower intestines and give them "a sense of euphoria," Trina said.
