St. Pete Bagel owner Renata Plevova said just about everything was damaged in her store. She and two workers went to the emergency room after the accident. The 76-year-old driver was not injured.
The driver apparently said she mistook the accelerator for the break on her 2011 Cadillac SUV. St. Pete Bagel shop owner Renata Plevova said she did not see much damage on the car. She has yet to get an estimate on the cost to rebuild her shop, which is now closed.

St Pete Bagels is set to reopen Friday morning, just four days after a Cadillac SUV plowed through the storefront, sending co-owner Renata Plevova and two employees to the hospital and decimating the popular store.

Plevova says she thinks that the SUV driver was heading into her shop to buy bagels when the vehicle plowed through the storefront, with Plevova barely escaping being hit by the vehicle, when it rolled right up to the counter, where customers order. Here are photos that Plevova took of the 2011 Cadillac before it was extracted from the shop. The 76-year-old driver was unhurt, but Plevova and two workers went to the hospital to be checked. The real losers are the devoted customers who will have to do without the freshly made bagels and cream cheese in the morning.
