Eli's Coming – Hide Your Heart

This four-month old Boxer mix loves nothing more than to play and give wet, sloppy kisses.

Eli, a four-month-old Boxer mix, is as sweet as his photo suggests. This boy came to the no-kill Pet Pal Animal Shelter from a rescue organization that needed assistance in placing him.

Eli is very much the young pup, playful, loving to everyone and eager to give wet, sloppy kisses. He is learning basic commands and how to walk well on a leash. Eli is neutered, microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations.

He would make the perfect addition to an active family that can appreciate his love and exuberance for life.

For more information on Eli and other adoptable Pet Pals, visit the shelter at 405 22nd St. South, St. Petersburg.

Telephone: 727.328.7738.

Hours: Tues-Fri 11 a.m.–4:30pm; Sat 10 am – 4:30 pm; Sun-Mon Closed.

About this column: St. Petersburg's primary no-kill rescue shelter for dogs and cat features a different adoptable pet weekly in Patch. Each animal has a compelling story and was rescued from euthanasia at city and county shelters in Florida.

If anyone can teach me how to keep dogs from eating the 'tootsie' rolls from the cat litter boxes, I'll adopt a rescue pup in a heart beat!
