Good luck with your event today. It will be great to see the final results. A lot is going on downtown, with many things due to be completed near the same time in a couple years or so. I personally was against ''The Lens'' project, but it does not take a genius to see it is going to happen. Once construction begins I will fall in line and give it support. Although I hate to see The Pier gone, the new change will likely be very cool when done...so life goes on. With ''The Lens'' inevitable, and also the soon to be seen ''Shops of St Petersburg'' , and also the work here at the ''Y'' for the ''Rock and Roll Museum''....there is a lot to look forward to. Along with the other general stuff in the downtown area that is blossoming and booming...it is exciting to think about 2 years from now.
