Sandwiches happen to be one of my favorite "food groups." Pizza holds the No. 1 spot, but a freshly made sandwich also is hard to beat.
Lonni's knows a thing or two about great sandwiches.
Lonni's has been a mainstay on Cental Avenue for quite some time, but unfortunately I hadn't tried the food until this week.
The menu boasts a healthy selection of soups, sandwiches and salads. I combined a salad and a sandwich and ordered the Custom Vegetarian.
Between two thick slices of Lonni's signature wild rice bread was a heaping pile of tomatoes, cheese, sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce and black olives. For $7.29 the sandwich was served with a pickle spear; the combination made for an undeniable "Best Thing I Ate This Week" feature.
