The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office conducted a special 'wolf pack operation,' targeting aggressive drivers and motorists who are drinking and driving.
With holiday celebrations just getting started, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office conducted an overnight "DUI Wolf Pack Operation" Friday, arresting nine for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The "Wolf Pack" patrols, which target aggressive drivers and motorists who are drinking and driving were conducted throughout Pinellas County from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.

Let's see, from what I saw on tv, anybody who gets a DUI has to pay out at least $7,500.00 x 9. And 14 citations (tickets) who knows how much each person will have to pay there, let's say $100 for the heck of it, that's $1,400.00. So I think it's a good use of taxpayer money. And would you rather have the police sitting in a donut shop instead of keeping drunk and dangerous drivers off of our streets?

Wow, the clever B O'H writes "have a nice liberal holiday...to everyone else...Merry Christmas !!!
What total crap and BS. Among all conservatives to centrists to liberals, there are some who celebrate merely a "holiday" and others who celebrate Christmas. So please cut out off the radical-right wing mud slinging.

And what are the costs of lost lives and debilitating injuries, James? I have no patience for drunk drivers at all. However, coming down hard on the situation by law enforcement once or twice a year isn't enough. I think the punishment for driving drunk should be severe. Sit home and play Russian roulette all you want with a loaded pistol...but don't bring your loaded car onto the streets.

I firmly stand behind getting individuals that ave made the decision to drink and drive. This decision is against the law, endangering the lives of others and their ability to clearly think is impaired.

@James. Would you say that if one of those drunk drivers hit one of your loved ones? I for one am glad they're off the road. Kudos.

Maybe @James is one of those that think it's ok to drink and drive and put MY family in danger...? I agree with the comment above that 'if you want to play russian roulette with yourself, GO FOR IT! But leave the rest of us out of your immature, self absorbed game of drinking and driving! The rest of us have RESPECT for the life that we have been blessed with, and choose NOT to drink and drive or tolerate others that do!

you know, a viable mass transit system could be a good alternative. then we could all get loaded and not have to pay $80 for a cab. oh, yeah, and we could all breathe cleaner air, except for conservatives, who opposed the decision. they would be forced to carry tanks full of internal combustion exhaust on their backs and breathe that. fair enough?

How did drunk driving turn into a political conversation? If you plan on drinking..,plan on a way home other than driving yourself.
Pretty simple if you ask me. Bartenders should also be held responsible if they knowingly continue to serve
