Petie is a Well Behaved Dog with Personality

Petie is well-trained and is only being held back from finding a home because he's a pitbull.

Petie is a well-trained iconic looking pitbull who needs a home quick! He's so well-behaved, that he may even qualify as a service dog with more training. He's quick to pick up commands, but still has a fun personality that would be great for a family

How to Adopt

Petie is ready to go to his forever home. The adoption fee is $35 and includes the first set of shots, spaying or neutering, a collar and leash, a bag of food and a toy for the dog. We've attached an adoption form (PDF) to make it easy.

Adopt Petie, and we will feature your photo with your new pet on Patch, too!

How to Help

If you can't adopt, but still want to help, Animal Servces always needs volunteers.

Contact Kelli Becraft at kbecraft@co.pinellas.fl.us for more information.

If you want to see other animals available for adoption, Pinellas County Animal Services will be having an event at the PetSmart in Largo Mall this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. showcasing some adorable pets.

We still have Adoptables at Risk who need good homes.

Good news! PaisleySabrina and Paris were all adopted this week! If you adopted any of our pups we featured, let us know and shoot us a photo of them in their new home! Missy is still looking for that forever home though, so if you can, give her a good family. Each week that an Adoptable at Risk isn't adopted, we'll keep listing them!

About this column: Patch has partnered with Pinellas County Animal Services to bring our readers Adoptables at Risk, a weekly column that highlights dogs and cats that have overstayed at the county shelter and are in immediate need of a forever home. The shelter has limited space and must get pets adopted in a timely manner to free up kennels. Related Topics: Adoptables at Risk and Pitbulls

One thing that wasn't said in the video is just how loving this dog is! If you need a friend, Petie is your guy!

Thanks so much for telling us when one of the featured animals finds its forever home! My home is currently at capacity, but when I can I will check out one of these special animals. A shelter or a rescue group should be the first stop for everyone looking to add to their pet family because these animals are the best!!!
