Pier Restaurant Rolls Back Prices Sunday
Columbia Restaurant will sell meals at 1905 prices to celebrate its anniversary.
ST. PETERSBURG – Columbia Restaurant is celebrating its 106th anniversary Sunday and selling food at 1905 prices.
Chicken and rice is $2.05, a glass of Sangria is .95 cents and a cup of coffee is a nickel from noon until 7 p.m. That means diners can have dessert, too, and still spend under $5.
Columbia offers a special anniversary menu each year to honor the fifth-generation family business.
Columbia's owners say that diners will get to enjoy their Spanish cuisine "for prices they might have paid in the good ole days."
Menu items will include:
- Boliche (eye round of beef) - $2.95
- Merluza A la Rusa - $2.95
- Columbia's Original 1905 Salad - $1.95
- Flan - $.50 cents
- Richly brewed American coffee - $.05 cents
Reservations are not accepted, and take-out items are not available for the anniversary day celebration.
