Social Media Pages:
Why did you start your blog?
I love dining out and trying new restaurants. One day while procrastinating from schoolwork, Sweet! Tampa Bay was born.
What can we expect from your blog?
Reviews of local restaurants and pictures of the food and drinks I have tried there.
What do you do when you're not blogging?
Attend grad school, serve as 1st Vice President for the St. Petersburg Junior Woman’s Club, read the current book pick for my book club, and catch up on my DVR!
How has your blog evolved over time?
I have recently added a Facebook page so I can share more micro-blogging on there (such as a picture of my lunch but not something I would write a whole blog post about). I am trying to get more involved with review sites like UrbanSpoon and Yelp. I am also trying to attend more events with other local bloggers and write about the experiences. I hope to get a professional blog remodel within the next year.
When do you find time to write?
This is a tough one for me. I try to write a review as soon as I can after leaving a restaurant so everything is still fresh. I am pretty busy during the week so I try to set aside some quality blog time on a Sunday afternoon.
How often do you dine out?
Way too much—probably an average of five days a week.
Where is the sweetest place in Tampa Bay?
The Harry Waugh Dessert Room at Bern’s Steak House. I’d like to try one of everything on the menu and then go back for seconds. The Vintage Chocolate Lush is my current favorite—flourless chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, and hot fudge. Yum!
