Mitt Romney: I Like Firing People, and I Will Create 12 Million New Jobs

Mitt Romney: I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. I have a plan to create 12 million jobs, which gives me an additional 12 million opportunities to do what I like. Which is firing people.

Like Barack Obama, for example. I'd like to fire him, and then he can apply for one of the 12 million jobs I'm going to create. And if he's hired, the American people will rally behind him, wish him success, but he'll fail, of course, because he's had no business experience, and then I can fire him again. And then I'll never have to say his name 28 times in an acceptance speech that's supposed to help voters get to know me.

Curious, Reverse able Mittens begins his pitch on all the "jobs I will create"with " first I'll fire". .. ... and the beat goes on.

The last time Mittens cried "just trust me" on his taxes he was caught in a lie. Now, I'm from Missouri, show me Mitt, show me. I think he knows he will lose, so why prove he's lying again ? Poor Mittens . .. ... he's got money, but he's poor----very poor.

Kim, you seem to have as much knowledge about business as does our current incompetent President. When one takes on the turn around of a troubled company, many times, some per cent of the people do have to be cut in order to save the jobs of all the remainder people. I have had to do this myself and it is a terribly unpleasent thing for everyone. However, it this is not addressed, then the entire company is subject to failure.

Actually, Jerry that is not true. I have had a few garage sales and I had a popcorn stand once when I was a kid. It was a disaster, some boys (cute but annoying!) came and grabbed all my baggies of popcorn and I had to chase them around the block with a machete. I didn't do anything to them, just scared them a little. They ate the popcorn though without paying.
As for what you have done in business I suppose that could be true. I am not claiming to have knowledge of how to turn around a troubled company, but I do think the kind of damage Romney/Ryan would do to our COUNTRY which is not a business would be unbearable. We're already suffering greatly from the effects of 8 years with Bush/Cheney and I don't believe it would even be Romney/Ryan running things. Someone else is pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Sorry Jerry, layoffs and cut backs to save companies is NOT Mitt's MO, he is know for buying companies with assets , including pension funds, then liquidating those assets, borrowing as heavily as possible against any fixed assets, like buildings and machinery, pocketing everything in sight and then putting that company in bankrupsy. All without any care for the thousands left jobless or the lenders stuck with bad debt. The only company Mitt ran, Bain Capitol, created nothing.

Bubba, I'll try not to pre-judge you on the user name, but um, your reply is kind of vague and even if Obama hasn't accomplished a whole lot in the last 4 years, you must get that he's trying to UNdo 8 years worth of damage and the whole Republican agenda has been DEFEAT Obama and thwart anything he or the Dems try to do....
