Internet Safety for Your Student
(you may attend one or both sessions)
SESSION 1: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. - For Parents of Students in PK3 - Grade 5
Canterbury's Technology Integrationist Erica Whiteman will give parents of children under 12 practical tips and safety precautions that can be applied so your child has age-appropriate Internet interactions.
SESSION 2: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. - For Parents of Students in Grades 6 - 12 (but parents from Session 1 are welcome to stay)
Canterbury's Technology Integrationist Erica Whiteman and Middle School Principal Claudine Cieutat will discuss the importance of teenage "virtual personas" and the ramifications of public blogs and posts as college admission officers, companies who hire interns and even future employers research candidates via social media outlets.

Canterbury School of Florida-Hough Campus
Canterbury is an independent, preparatory school in northeast St. Pete that educates children from pre-k through high school. The elementary school is located at the Hough Campus on Snell Isle, and the middle and upper schools are located on the Knowlton Campus off 62nd Avenue NE.
The school emphasizes character building and development, with a focus from pre-k through high school. At the Hough Campus, special focuses include a strings program for Grades 3 and 4, Mandarin Chinese for pre-k to Grade 4, and iPod Touches for classroom use.
