John Neal Homes Breaks Ground on New Model at The Inlets

John Neal Homes broke ground on a new model at The Inlets, a beautiful waterfront coastal community nestled along the Manatee River.

The community has a long history in Manatee County, originally developed as “River Isles” in 1958 during the Eisenhower building boom, followed by a deep recession in 1960.

“There was a lot of housing built in our region during this period as the Florida boom had started and air conditioning became common in 1956,” said Pat Neal, president and CEO of Neal Communities. “But after the recession, this property like several others laid dormant for 25 years.”

At that time, developer Ken Keating purchased the property and  finished the remaining canals. The community’s master developer, Keating has successfully built many of the homes in The Inlets over the past 14 years through his company Camlin Homes. This year Neal partnered with Medallion Homes to purchase the remaining 42 homesites.

“We at Neal Communities plan to work with Ken Keating and our friend and partner, Carlos Beruff of Medallion Homes to finish the Inlets which will continue to be a lovely, thriving, and gorgeous community in the city of Bradenton with about 590 homes,” said Neal.

The Inlets has the best of everything- a great location, with good schools, west of I-75 and close to downtown Bradenton. Additionally it has the unique benefit of direct deep water boating access to the Gulf of Mexico.

John Neal Homes is currently developing and building on homesites in the Harbour Walk and Reserve sections under the same architectural standards already in place in the popular waterfront community.

The Siesta Key model is one of three new floorplans the Lakewood Ranch based builder will unveil at The Inlets, with 22-foot high ceilings and an island coastal design theme. It features 3,008 square feet with four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms plus a den.

“The Siesta Key and our other new floorplans here will have a light airy feel to highlight this ideal waterfront location,” said Randy Turkovics, president of building for John Neal Homes. “Homeowners can personalize these floorplans with our design team to reflect their specific needs and lifestyle, and all homes here will be able to have boat docks in their backyards,” he said. The Siesta Key model will open this June.
