'Lens' Info Session Wednesday Night

Clearwater Aquarium, Kids Day at the Trop, Lens Info Session, 'Doomsday Castle' and Trader Joe's to Tampa are five things you need to know today.

LENS INFO SESSION TONIGHT

Council Member Jeff Danner will hold an information session tonight to, "clarify some of the issues associated with the new St. Petersburg Pier called "The Lens," a news release said. The info session begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 3800 9th Ave. N. 

'DOOMSDAY CASTLE' PREMIERES

Did you know one of St. Petersburg's own has a show on the National Geographic Channel? Last night Brenton Bruns II and his family had their show, 'Doomsday Castle' premiere. Bruns II is a local businessman preparing for the end of the world with his family in castle the hills of South Carolina. 

OMG, TRADER JOE'S IS COMING TO TAMPA

Trader Joe's has officially announced its arrival in Tampa.
Officials from the specialty grocery store chain signed their lease, and are scheduled to go before the city's variance review board today to increase the size of signs near the store, which will be located where Shapes is at 3808 W. Swann Avenue, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The hype around this store is incredible. If you've shopped at a Trader Joe's before, tell us what all of the fuss is about.

CLEARWATER MARINE AQUARIUM UPDATE

The typical Thursday night City Council meeting in Clearwater has been moved to 6 p.m. tonight. City leaders will discuss terms of an agreement that could allow the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to develop a $160 million facility on the downtown waterfront if approved by residents in a special election Nov. 5.
