Tech Timeout starts this week in Florida

Are you ready to take a Tech Timeout?

CNN recently ran a story showing that most Americans have taken a break from Facebook for several weeks or more.

Have you?

Personally, I spend most of my waking hours on a computer (either at work or home), and hardly ever stray more than a few steps away from my cell phone. But when I think about many of my favorite memories, a lot of them have nothing to do with a computer or cell phone.

So, have you ever taken a Tech Timeout™? Something as simple as turning off the cell phone at dinner with your significant other or family is a pretty easy way to start.

Here is the challenge: Pledge to turn off all the technology in your home (yes, even your cellphone), for at least ONE HOUR a day, and get to know your family better.

(Feel free to also share your story on the TechTimeout Facebook page and visit TechTimeout.com to see other stories and download the pledge form.)

I love Kahwa coffee and the nice folks that own and run it. They have been great citizens of St.Read More Pete. If you have not tried it, you should do so.
