Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Continues Global Positioning by Teaming with Proxio

To help remove some of the barriers that foreign real estate buyers run into when searching for a home in Florida, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate has teamed up with Proxio, the international MLS and global real estate network, enabling Coldwell Banker’s property descriptions on the company’s FloridaMoves.com to be translated in 19 different languages and 30 currencies.

With an estimated $68.2 billion of total United States residential real estate sales volume attributed to international buyers annually*, and 19 percent of Florida home sales measured in dollar volume belonging to non-resident foreigners**, it is imperative for a real estate company to actively find ways to bridge the borders of language, culture and location for foreign buyers.

“Homes in Florida are searched on FloridaMoves.com by potential home buyers from over-50 countries, so teaming with an amazing real estate technology company like Proxio is extremely exciting,” said Clark Toole, President, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Florida. “The international real estate buyer is such an important part in driving the Florida market, and we want to do everything we can to ensure that they are getting the best possible experience when searching for a home on our website.”

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate sales associates can also print, email and post property details on social media networks to potential buyers in their preferred language through the Proxio platform.

Earlier this month, Proxio’s Global Broker Package was named a finalist for the 2013 Inman Innovator Award for Most Innovative Brokerage or Franchise App, Tool, or Vendor for its ability to tie together real estate inventory, professional profiles and networking tools, and enabling listings to be translated with a single click.

“We have sales associates who travel the world to meet with clients, attend foreign real estate conferences, and even speak at such events,” added Toole. “And what they find is that international buyers view the U.S. residential housing market, particularly Florida, as a very good value. Our company is making sure we are doing everything we can to assist the foreign buyers in making an informed decision on their purchase, without losing anything in translation.”

*According to the National Association of REALTORS® 2013 Profile of International Home Buying Activity study, the total sales volume to international clients was estimated at $68.2 billion, for the 12 months ending March 2013.
