CREW Tampa Bay invests in new technology for its Excellence Awards

As nominations open, exclusive online system promises to make process easier

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 8, 2013) – Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 CREW Tampa Bay Excellence Awards, with a new online system promising to make the entire awards process easier, both for making nominations and for judging.

Members of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and others in the region’s real estate industry can nominate companies and individuals for the competition, which honors the best and brightest in the Tampa Bay area commercial real estate industry while taking a wide-ranging approach to award classifications.

In addition to more traditional awards such as Lease of the Year and honors for excellence in construction, architecture and marketing/public relations, categories include such awards as Civic Leader of the Year and Sustainable Excellence.

Nominations for the second annual awards competition are being accepted until Sept. 19. After companies and individuals are invited to enter the competition, the nominees will complete award entries online, which will be analyzed by a panel of local real estate development experts and civic leaders.

The awards themselves are being designed by a local artist, Sean Pascoe, making them something that industry professionals will value for years to come.

CREW Tampa Bay made a significant investment in creating a new online process for nominations and entries. Industry awards often include a cumbersome, paper-driven entry process, but CREW’s online system promises to make the process much faster and simpler.

“We are excited that we can make both nominations and entries much easier,” said CREW Tampa Bay President Leigh Fletcher. “The first year of the CREW Tampa Bay Excellence Awards was a great success, and we want to constantly look for ways to improve the process. This new system is an indication of that.”
