Cool, crisp weather isn’t exactly in the forecast, but meteorologists at the National Weather Service say St. Petersburg is in for a tiny taste of fall this week.

The cool front that brought Monday’s rains with it is expected to clear out by Tuesday. Once it does, the forecast calls for sunny days with scant chances for rain, said meteorologist Rick Davis.

“It’s going to be mostly sunny days, mostly clear nights,” Davis said. “Nice fall weather.”

Davis said highs during the workweek should top out in the upper 80s to low 90s. The early morning hours will see lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.
