Patch Minute: Sand Key Before New Year's

Welcome to Patch Minute and welcome to your weekend.

Welcome to Patch Minute and welcome to your weekend. Every week we'll fill you in on local events and things to do in St. Pete, Gulfport and the Gulf Beaches.

Cherlene Willis, our normal host for Patch Minute, is out of town, so I, Leigh Armstrong, will be filling in.

New Year's Eve is coming up on Monday and many of you may already have plans on what you'd like to do. If you don't know what you want to do, make sure to check out our events tab to see some of the coolest parties coming up.

Since there's going to be some big parties on Monday, we decided to put the focus on some relaxing outings, like to one of the many parks in the Pinellas area.

In our video, we showcase the Sand Key park and some of the great features you can find there. If you don't want to head out to Sand Key, there are tons of other great parks located locally, like Fort De Soto or Walter Fuller Park.

I love Kahwa coffee and the nice folks that own and run it. They have been great citizens of St.Read More Pete. If you have not tried it, you should do so.
