St. Petersburg Has a Lottery Winner!

The Powerball winner was announced the day after Christmas. Today the mystery man stepped forward to claim his jackpot.

A St. Petersburg man is the winner of a $50 million Powerball mystery ticket that so many people wished they had but that had gone unclaimed since Dec. 26, 2012.

Christopher McGurran, 30, of St. Petersburg stepped forward to claim his jackpot today. But he declined to have his publicity photo taken when he was declared a winner in the Florida Powerball Lottery.

McGurran will receive a one-time, lump-sum payment for the winnings in the amount of $32,446,463.
