The "Lens" pier design appears to be heading toward a sound defeat on the Aug. 27 primary, according to the latest survey results from StPetePolls

2. Light Rail, Fast Buses — 'Greenlight' Wants 'Penny' for Your Thoughts, St. Pete

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority officials believe a one-cent sales tax increase would help create a faster, more efficient bus system for all residents.

3. Woman Found Dead Inside St. Pete Home

St. Petersburg Police conducting a welfare check Sunday at 600 40th St. N. found the body of a dead woman inside. 

4. Redistricting, Curbside Recycling Top Council Candidates Debate

Candidates discussed city pensions, funding for neighborhoods, the use of reserves and many other topics. One topic, the St. Petersburg redistricting process, was the only issue where all seven candidates in attendance chose to address.

5. Police: House Explodes While Owners Make Hash Oil

There was an explosion Monday night in a St. Petersburg home that police say was caused by residents attempting to make hashish oil.
