The former Pier Aquarium made a big splash earlier this year when it announced it would be opening as Secrets of the Sea Marine Exploration Center and Aquarium at John's Pass in Madeira Beach. 

However, according to a statement from the organization, it will need to look for another location.

4. Coast Guard Rescues Man in St. Pete

A man suffering a medical emergency on his sail boat was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard Wednesday about a mile east of St. Petersburg.

5. Police: Marijuana Deal Gone Awry Leads to Attempted Homicide

An early Monday morning marijuana deal turned violent after a St. Petersburg man was shot multiple times following an argument, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
