1. St. Pete Council Skeptical of 828 Alliance Pier Plan

The "Lens" was rejected by St. Petersburg voters Aug. 27, now St. Petersburg is trying to figure out what to do next. City council is skeptical of the 828 Alliance recommendations, which is the group created Mayor Bill Foster. 

2. Police Shoot, Kill St. Pete Man

A man who pulled a gun on three St. Petersburg Police Officers early Monday morning is dead after police opened fire on the suspect.

3. St. Pete Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon Canceled

After two years, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in St. Petersburg is canceled, according to an announcement posted by race organizers. 

4. St. Pete to be Featured on 'Emeril’s Florida'

Two St. Petersburg businesses, Cassis American Brasserie and the Chihuly Museum, were featured Thursday on the Food Network show, Emeril’s Florida

5. Chief of Police Chuck Harmon to Retire

St. Petersburg Chief of Police Charles "Chuck" Harmon announced Wednesday that he is retiring next year, "barring any unforeseen circumstance."
