5 Things to do in St. Pete This Weekend

What are you doing this weekend, St. Pete? Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA, Titanic exhibit at the Mahaffey, Keller Williams at State Theatre, Shopapolooza and CraftArt 2012 are all this weekend.

1. Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA

Under the big top at the Trop parking lot, the circus get a unique twist with Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA. The show runs now through Dec. 16. Tickets for all performances of KOOZA are available online at cirquedusoleil.com/kooza or may be purchased in person at the Cirque du Soleil box office located inside the entrance tent at Tropicana Field. Friday night's show is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday has two shows, one at 3:30 p.m. and a second at 7:30 p.m. Sunday has a 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. show. Tickets range from $43.50 - $143.50. 

2. Titanic at the Mahaffey

This weekend, you can see the treasures recovered at the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. The exhibit runs through March 3, 2013, at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. Inside the exhibit you'll see artifacts that have not been displayed previously in Tampa Bay, including plates, coal, clothing and much more. According to the Mahaffey, the galleries focus on the legendary Titanic's compelling human stories as best told through authentic artifacts recovered from the ocean floor. There also are extensive room re-creations. Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets for the exhibition are on sale now for $19.12 to commemorate the year of the Titanic's unsuccessful voyage.

3. Keller Williams

At State Theatre Friday night, enjoy music from Keller Williams and his acoustic guitar. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20. Tickets can be purchased online or the day of show at State Theatre. 

4. Shopapalooza

Stroll South Straub Park Saturday and shop a showcase of local businesses. Miss the crazy crowds, the long lines. Forget about getting trampled at the checkout lane, or getting lost trying to find your car. Expect the best deals in Tampa Bay. Shopapalooza is the Local Alternative to Black Friday, with food, music, entertainment, prizes, surprises, and awesome shops, all locally owned and operated. Shopapalooza is free and is from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

5. CraftArt 2012

On Saturday and Sunday take a stroll along Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg for great art. CraftArt will be held outdoors in downtown St. Petersburg in front of the Florida Craftsmen Gallery. CraftArt features some of the nation’s best established and emerging fine craft artists with handmade works in clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, paper, mixed media and original woodcuts. The weekend will include artist demonstrations, make and take activities and craft beer tastings. Craft Art is from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Central Ave. and 5th St.
