5 Things to do in St. Pete This Weekend

1. Home Show at Tropicana Field

The Tampa Bay Home Show takes over Tropicana Field this weekend. The event will feature more than 500 exhibits relating to Florida homes and home improvement. It will include kitchen cabinets, landscaping, spas/pools, home entertainment systems, remodeling and window experts. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday. Parking and admission is free. 

2. George Lopez at the Mahaffey

Comedic legend and TV/movie star George Lopez brings his one-of-a-kind standup routine to the Mahaffey Theater Friday night. The show, 'It's not me, It's you', begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $46 and can be purchased online at TheMahaffey.com. 

3. Marilyn Manson 

The goth, and sometimes controversial, hard rocker will be coming back to St. Petersburg Saturday to play Jannus Live. Doors for Marilyn Manson's show open at 7 p.m. Picture Me Broken is the opening act. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online. 

4. Cool Art Show

Saturday and Sunday inside the Coliseum, Cool Art Show will showcase more than 75 artists. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days.  Painting, sculpture, metalwork, wood, glass, pottery, photography, mixed media and jewelry are types of art you can view at the show. Parking and admission to the juried art show are free. 

5. Saturday Morning Market

Each Saturday during the summer months, Williams Park transforms into the Saturday Morning Market. From 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. you can check out more than 40 vendors that provide: fresh produce, pasta, plants, clothing and much more. The event is free. The market will be located at Williams through Aug. 24.
