5 Things to do in St. Pete This Weekend

1. Rays vs. White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are in town this weekend to take on the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-game series at Tropicana Field. Friday night's game begins at 7:10 p.m., Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday at 1:40 p.m. The first 20,000 fans through the gates Saturday night will receive a free retro Evan Longoria bobblehead. 

2. We The Kings

Bradenton band We The Kings will be rocking Jannus Live Saturday night for a almost hometown performance. We The Kings will be joined on their Summer Fest 2013 tour with Breathe Caroline, T. Mills and The Ready Seat. Tickets are $28 and can be purchased online. Doors open at 6 p.m.

3. First Friday

Enjoy music, beer and food in the street as the Tempests turn a portion of Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete into a block party. The free party runs from 5:30 - 10 p.m. the first Friday of every month. 

4. Improv Comedy at American Stage

On the first Sunday night of every month, head to American Stage for hilarious Improv Comedy. "The Dumb Show and 321, Hawk and Wayne presents The Memory. A new long form of improvisation that is based on the audiences suggestion of a certain memory or event in their life that comes right off the top of their heads," a news release said. The show will still take place every first Sunday of each month at 8 p.m., will still remain Pay-What-You-Can (suggested $5 - $15) or $15 in advance.

5. Saturday Morning Market

Each Saturday during the summer months, Williams Park transforms into the Saturday Morning Market. From 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. you can check out more than 40 vendors that provide: fresh produce, pasta, plants, clothing and much more. The event is free. The market will be located at Williams through Aug. 24.
