AUDITIONS for "REEFER MADNESS"

Lust! Paranoia! Murder! Reefer Madness is set in All-American 1950s suburbia, Dr. Carroll, principal of the local high school, warns how one puff of pot can lead clean-cut teenagers down the road to insanity, death, and worse. Stopping at nothing to make his point, Dr. Carroll tells the sad, sordid story of how the nicest kids in town are lured into a world of violence, wild parties, unleashed passions, and drug-crazed abandon. Written by Joe Landry, Reefer Madness is a spoof of the 1936 cult classic film.

The script calls for a male narrator in his 50s, and three women and four men in their teens and 20s.  The director would like a multi-ethnic cast, and will consider casting older actors who can play younger.  Ideally, one will be a piano player.

Auditions will be held August 8 and 9, beginning at 7 p.m. SHARP, in the Holy Name Catholic Church school building, 5800 15th Ave. South in Gulfport (look for ICT signs).  Do not be late.  Auditionees should bring a performance resume and come dressed prepared to move.
