Weekend Planner: Which One's Hootie?

1.) Which One’s Hootie? Darius Rucker, frontman for '90s two-hit wonders Hootie & the Blowfish, entertains Saturday at after the Rays game. The first-place Rays and the Orioles play at 4:10 p.m. Rucker, who recently won a Country Music Award for his solo debut, should come on about 7. 2.) Lightning Watch Parties: Tampa Bay Lightning fans (and who isn’t these days?) don’t have to wait until the team returns from two games in Boston Saturday and Tuesday to get together and root for the team in the NHL Eastern Conference Finals. The Lightning will host watch parties at the St. Pete Times Forum for both the Saturday and Tuesday games against the Bruins. Both games start at 6:30 p.m., and the Lightning encourage local fans to arrive early and bring blankets, chairs and coolers. No alcoholic drinks will be allowed. The games will be shown outdoors on the Plaza. Each fan who goes to the Saturday party gets a commemorative mug as well. Go to www.tampabaylightning.com.

3.) Candlebox at : If you hear some seriously loud rock music coming from downtown St. Pete tonight, that will likely be from Candlebox, the Seattle-based post-grunge rockers who were big for a few minutes in the mid-'90s. Tickets are $15 and still available at the door.

4.) Downtown Artwalk: The St. Pete Downtown Arts Association will hold an artwalk Saturday night, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Many downtown galleries are participating in the area from 30th Street to the St. Pete Pier. Get more information from www.stpetearts.org.

5.) Downtown Saturday Morning Market: The downtown will only be open at its present location for a few more weeks. Then it moves to its new summer home at Williams Park, with a much smaller version of the market. So if you want to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, eat an interesting brunch, hear some music, or just hang out in a cool atmosphere, there are only a few weekends left. It runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Al Lang Field parking lot.
