Athenian Garden Opens a New Location on 4th Street

The St. Petersburg family-owned business has locations near the Tyrone mall and in Largo. It is now also open for business at 2220 4th St. North.

Since 1977, Athenian Garden has been serving up delicious Greek cuisine to St. Pete residents. The motto "Where Everything is Home Made" has earned a favorite spot in the hearts of locals. A new location opened on Oct. 14 in the Old Northeast, following longtime spots near the Tyrone Square Mall in west St. Petersburg and in Largo.

The menu boasts many Greek standards, from Gyros, to flaming Saganaki, to Moussaka. It also offers some unusual specialties, like sauteed octupus and stuffed grape leaves. With a section of the menu dedicated to "no meat," vegetarians can also get their fill. Meat lovers, have no fear: There's plenty of sausage, lamb and chicken to go around. Also popular are the homemade desserts, which include a couple varieties of Baklava and homemade cakes and pastries.

Athenian Garden is open for lunch and dinner, while also taking on catering orders. Hours of operation are from 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.
