Daddy Kool Records Picks Best Albums of 2012

The local music store located in the 600 block had its employees name their favorite albums of the year. What was the best new music you listened to in 2012?

Mumford & Sons, Big Boi, Taylor Swift, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen all released critically acclaimed albums in 2012. While those artists have name recognition, many lesser-known aritst also made acclaimed albums this year.

The crew from Daddy Kool Records released theirfavorite records of the year. Top picks included music from various genres including electronic, metal, punk and hip-hop. The album that was mentioned most from Daddy Kool's list was Purity Ring's album, Shrines.
