Little Greek, Big Taste New to Fourth Street

After its snowballed success, Little Greek sets up shop in St. Pete with its eighth location to date.

On June 5, Little Greek opened its doors at 1052 4th St. N. in St. Petersburg. It is the store's eight location.

According to a news release, St. Pete is “ideal” for the newest addition. Little Greek offers dine-in, takeout and catering. The new location will be open from 11am-9pm, seven days a week.

With the eighth location, Little Greek has doubled in size, growing from four to eight venues since April, 2011. The new location marks a slight change in Little Greek’s menu and appeal.

“We have trimmed back non-Greek items from the menu and upgraded the look and feel of the restaurants to match the high quality of the food,” wrote Nick Vojnovic, President of Little Greek, in a new release. He went on to write, “we believe that the Greek/Mediterranean segment is poised to explode in the United States as Americans discover this healthy, delicious cuisine.”

Little Greek’s menu is simple, but large enough to cater to any diet, from the Veggie Pita ($5.69) to the Traditional Gyro ($5.99). Dishes are piled high, so the bang is certainly worth the buck. Salads, soups and dinner plates are also available at the 4th St. location.

Six other stores are on the backburner, ready to take off. The group hopes to have 12 stores up and running by the end of the year.
