Where to Park for the 2013 Honda Grand Prix

Here's what you need to know about parking during the 2013 Honda Grand Prix in downtown St. Pete.

Parking Information from the City of St. Petesburg for the 2013 Honda Grand Prix Weekend:

Downtown Parking

Race fans will find more than 25,000 parking spaces within a mile of the race track for personal vehicle parking, including the two city-owned garages. Parking at BayWalk (enter from Second St. between First and Second Aves. N.) or South Core (enter from the south side between First Ave. S.  and Second Sts.) will cost $5 for all day on Friday and a $10 all-day event rate on Saturday and Sunday.

The USF-St. Petersburg parking garage and selected lots offer the closest proximity to Gate 5. Parking is available Saturday and Sunday only in the USF-SP garage and selected lots and will cost $20 per vehicle. Private lots, garages and on-street parking will also be available. Motorists are encouraged to observe all posted parking regulations.

Parking Garages

Visitors are encouraged to park in one of the city-owned garages, the USF-SP
parking garage or selected parking lots or at Tropicana Field and ride the
free shuttle downtown. The shuttle, which operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., will
pick up from the 16th St. S. side of the stadium, with drop off on Fourth Ave.
S. between Second and Third Sts. and a two-block walk to the track.

Disabled Parking

Disabled on-street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge; some spaces have time limits but most are available for all-day parking. An additional section of metered parking spaces on Central Ave. between First and Second Sts. will be temporarily reserved as free parking for those holding valid Disabled Person Parking Permit placards and are available first-come, first-served Friday through Sunday. Other locations offering disabled parking at the prevailing rate include city garages, Tropicana Field and the USF garage. The USF garage is recommended for those with limited mobility who wish to enter the Fifth Ave. S. gate, while South Core garage is recommended for those wishing to enter the First Ave. S. gate.

Trop Park-n-Ride Shuttle

Parking is also available at Tropicana Field for $10, where Race fans can hop aboard a free Grand Prix shuttle to the track. The shuttle operates Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

This year, due to the Pinellas County Fair using a portion of the Tropicana Field
parking lot, Grand Prix parking will be located in Lots 1-4, on the building's
west side; fans should enter from Third Ave. S. or Fifth Ave. S. Shuttle stops
located on the east side of 16th St. S., between Third and Fourth Aves. S.,
with drop-off near the Hilton Hotel on Fourth Ave. S. between Second and Third
Sts. and a two-block walk to the track. 

The Tropicana shuttle includes dedicated wheelchair-accessible trolleys. Additional parking information and printable maps at www.stpete.org/grandprix.

Take the Trolley

The Looper Downtown Trolley and Central Avenue Trolley offer rides throughout race weekend for just 50 cents per person (exact change required) in the downtown fare zone. The Looper Trolley will run Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fans may board the Looper from near the Bayfront Hilton, located at 333 First St. S., or the Hampton Inn and Suites, at 80 Beach Dr. NE.

Motorcycle Parking

A special motorcycle corral' on Central Ave. between First and Second Sts. will be available for parking on Saturday and Sunday. Spaces are first-come, first-served and will cost $5. Permanent parking spaces for motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles is located on First Ave. N., between First and Second Sts., and on Second St. between Central Ave. and First Ave. S.

Use Pedal Power 

In addition to the more than 75 permanent bicycle racks located throughout downtown, a large number of temporary bicycle racks will be available outside each entry gate for those wishing to conserve energy.

Taxi!

Taxi stands are located on Second St. S., between Second and Fourth Aves. S. and on Sixth Ave. S. between Second and Third Sts. S.
