Nominations Accepted for Family in Need

LocalShops1 member businesses are looking to brighten the holidays for a local family with thousands of dollars in prizes.

LocalShops1 is looking for a local deserving family that could use some help making their holidays a little brighter! Ten member businesses banded together to come up with a prize package that includes a complete child's bedroom set, family portrait, gift cards, and a toy chest filled with books and toys.

Nominations must be received by Friday, Dec. 14. The winner will be announced the following Friday. To nominate a family, include the name, contact information, reason why they deserve to win, city they live in, and ages of children, if any. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Nominations should be emailed to contest sponsor The Iron Pelican Antiques, at theironpelican@yahoo.com, or mailed to Iron Pelican, at 2454 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, FL 33712.

I love Kahwa coffee and the nice folks that own and run it. They have been great citizens of St.Read More Pete. If you have not tried it, you should do so.
