41st Annual Sunrise Sale - Downtown St. Petersburg

This year marks the 41st anniversary of
the blockbuster summer Sunrise Sale which has been featured in the New York Times and often referred to as “St. Petersburg’s Largest
Pajama Party.”

Beginning at 6:43 a.m. and continuing
throughout the day, more than 50 downtown St. Petersburg merchants and
businesses will offer doorbuster sales and special offers, including more than
a dozen participants new to the event this year. Shoppers are encouraged to
wear their pajamas and are often treated to extra discounts. This year, a
PaJammin’” Theme adds a beach party atmosphere to the event. Models wearing
beach attire provided by Cerulean Blu and Reno Beach Surf Shop will be roaming
downtown with free goodies for lucky shoppers.

As part of the event that sees downtown
filled at dawn with yellow flags, bright balloons and eager shoppers, the DBA
will be collecting paper products for Ronald McDonald House ®. Mayor Rick
Kriseman is expected to be in attendance to kick off the event, along with
Sunshine, his Southeastern Guide Dogs puppy in training.
