America's Boating Course - United States Coast Guard Auxiliary

Do you want to become a more competent, knowledgeable boater?

Do you want to know how to operate the VHF radio and call for help or successfully navigate back to safety if your Captain is injured or incapacitated?

Do you need a Florida Boaters ID card to rent or utilize a boat?

Were you born on or after January 1, 1988 and want to operate boat on your own?

Would you like to qualify for a discount on your boat insurance? 

If you answered yes to any of these questions, SIGN-UP for the AMERICA’S BOATING COURSE offered by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 72 on September 28, 2013 from 8:30am - 4:30pm on the U.S.C.G. Base, South Moorings located at 1300 Beach Drive SE in St. Petersburg.

Subjects covered will include; Boating Safety, Equipment, Trailering, Boat handling, Rules of the Road (Waterways), Aids to Navigation, and Radio.

Books and materials will cost $25.00 (cash or check), two students can share a book for $40.00. Graduates will receive a Florida Boaters ID card.

A drawing will be held for a free 9 week Boating Skills and Seamanship Program valued at $50.00
