Join in the fun as live radio theatre takes center stage complete with sound effects!

We will kick off the fourth season of live radio theatre on Monday Nov. 19 at 7PM with the premier of our new original series The Continuing Adventures of Noel Berlin, Cabaret Detective, written especially for the Radio Theatre Project (RTP LIVE!) by Paul Wilborn and Matt Cowley. This new series features the Ensemble members in cliff hanger episodes with cabaret music and stunning sound effects. Don’t miss a single month! The Nov. 19 evening also includes a presentation of “I am a Cuban Sandwich” and “Sorry for your Loss”.

I am a Cuban Sandwich by Richard and Mary Ellen DiPietro,  Directed by Jim Rayfield

Adapted for radio from  his popular solo stage performance, “I am A Cuban Sandwich” will take you on a journey through the  physical and cultural life of Ybor City. Not the Ybor of today with its bar  scene and late-night revels, but what Ybor was, before time and Interstate 4  cut through the heart of a very special place. DiPietra, a native of  Tampa, has looked back and blended his true remembrances with touches of fiction to create an honest and touching look into the human experience of  growing up-especially growing up in a melting pot that simmers with the smell  of Spanish Bean Soup and fresh baked Cuban Bread-the kind that has a  palm frond in it.

Sorry For Your Loss by Ed Stevens, Directed by Rich Rice

All is not as it seems in a mysterious  encounter in a cemetery in Sorry for Your Loss, written by playwright Ed  Stevens.

RTP Live! Focuses on Florida stories and Florida playwrights.  Each radio play is broadcast at a later date on WMNF 88.5 FM HD 3 during the Soundstage Audio Theatre program on Sundays at 9 PM.  Once a month we will embark upon our fourth season of live radio theatre!
