Junior Archaeologist Camp

Held at Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center, the camp is designed for children with a strong interest in prehistory and history as well as learning how early people interacted with their environment.  Highlights of the camp include guest experts, a tour of an archaeological site, hands-on archaeology, experiments and crafts, pottery making and prehistoric hunting technology.  Open to children 7 to 11 years old; $150 per camper per week.  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; before camp is available from 7:45 to 9 a.m. for an additional $50 fee per week.  For more information, contact Becky O'Sullivan at 813-396-2325, rosulliv@usf.edu or www.awiare.oorg.
