St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman will bring the City Hall
All-Stars to North Shore Park Saturday, February 22, to face the all-star contingent
from the Kids&Kubs. The game is set to begin at 12:00. Featured players on the Mayor’s squad are expected to include: City Council Chair, Bill Dudley; Council Vice Chair, Steve Kornell; Council Members, Charlie Gerdes, Jim Kennedy, Carl Nurse and Darden Rice.
At 2:30 pm will face the Kids&Kubs All Stars will face a team of Half-Century Softball Club players in a 7-inning contest.Bob Carran a fifteen year veteran of the Half-Century Club and four year player for the Kids&Kubs will be honored posthumously when his number “77” is retired.Schedule for the day is as follows: 10 a.m., game 1, Kids & Kubs vs. TASCO Teens; noon, Kids & Kubs present donations to local charities; 12:30 p.m., batting practice; 1 p.m., opening ceremonies with National Anthem and God Bless America songs, game 2, followed by Kids & Kubs vs City Hall Stars; 2:30 p.m. game 3, St. Petersburg Half Century Club vs. Boys of Winter.
