LESS at the Studio@620 – performance by Karleigh Chase

"LESS" is a one woman show about being
a homeless female. A large portion of women on the streets come from abusive
pasts and broken homes leaving them powerless to control the downward spirals
of their lives. The women in "LESS" will depict the harsh realities of
a life where most only have three choices: panhandling, stealing or
prostitution. See how thin the veil is between being normal and being homeless,
because it can happen to anyone.

The evening
will also further tie in the theme of homelessness with a gallery of paintings
by Ben Love, a previously homeless artist, and music from The Open Door Band,
comprised of homeless and previously homeless musicians.

Karleigh Chase is the second of six
artists who have been given a HUGE boost with time, space, mentors, volunteers,
and funding to turn their concept into a series of performances. The Studio@620 Project Gen Yes! is a
concept to performance accelerator for jazz, dance, and theatre made possible
by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
