4-6 artichokes...cleaned and tops & bottoms cut-off
about 1 cup minced garlic
olive oil
salt & pepper
...
After cleaning & cutting artichokes....spread leaves open a bit and stuff with minced garlic.. all around the artichoke...making sure to get garlic down inside the leaves....all around.
Place artichokes in a large pot.
Place about 1-1/2 cup of water...enough to steam without burning.
Drizzle with olive oil with a "5 count"
salt & pepper to taste.
Top with lid and steam for about 30-45 minutes or until artichokes are tender.
**NOTE: you can tell if the artichoke is done by pulling one of the leaves off...if it comes off easily its done and if you take it, and its smooth coming off the leave it is done!
