Best Thing I Ate This Week: Burrito Boarder's Tubular Tacos

Maybe it was the fact that they were only $1 each, but the tacos tasted pretty delicious.

Taco Tuesday at Burrito Boarder is a weekly ritual for some. For me, this was my first time. Like any promotion, there was a bit of a catch. The deal starts at 2 p.m., and you have to purchase a drink in order for the tacos to be $1 each.

I started out with white queso and tortilla chips. The queso was just spicy enough and packed with flavor. It was well worth the $3.49.

After the appetizer, I ordered two of the Veg Out tacos. Veg Out is a substitute for meat and includes a mixture of grilled veggies, like squash, zucchini and onions. With each taco, you get to choose 3 toppings (additional toppings tack on a tiny upcharge). I landed on spicy sour cream, white shredded cheese and lettuce shreds. They were absolutely perfect, and I plan on visiting for Taco Tuesday again, soon.

All together with the appetizer, two tacos and a Mountain Dew, my total was $7.79. Not a bad deal, if I do say so myself.
