It’s official: Former Republican governor Charlie Crist has switched his voter registration to the Democratic Party.

Crist tweeted the change in his party registration late Friday night, saying:

@CharlieCristFL: Proud and honored to join the Democratic Party in the home of President.

“I’ve had friends for years tell me, ‘You know Charlie, you’re a Democrat and you don’t know it,’ ” Crist said, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Adam Smith.

Smith writes that President Obama “greeted the news with a fist bump.”

By the way, look how great Charlie’s wife, Carole, looks in this photo.

You got that right. I always liked Crist more than I liked most Republicans. When he was a Republican, I was afraid of his potential to be President someday, because he is a good person & might not alianate people like most Republicans do. I don't want Republicanism in the White House. Ron Paul is an OK Republican, but he has no chance of Presidential election, so I don't worry that Reaganomics will ever bring back the trickle down the rich man's leg view point to any position of authority. Crist is OK. Like he said, he didn't leave the Republican Party. They left him. As a Left leaning American, (not democrat-they're too right wing) I support Crist as a choice over Governor Space Cadet we now have.

I love Kahwa coffee and the nice folks that own and run it. They have been great citizens of St.Read More Pete. If you have not tried it, you should do so.
