20-Month-Old Boy Found in Neighbor's Pool

The child was found by his nanny, after he apparently wandered from his family's home to a neighbor's pool.

A 20-month-old boy is in critical condition at All Children's Hosital, after he was discovered in a neighbor's pool at 10:31 a.m. today. 

The child, who lives with his family on the 1900 block of Hawaii Avenue NE, apparently wandered outside and to a next door neighbor's pool, before his nanny noticed him missing.

Once the nanny discovered the child missing, police said she searched outside and discovered him in the pool of a next door neighbor. She pulled the child from the pool and called 911.

Police said information regarding the circumstances of the incident is very preliminary.

The home is located in the waterfront neighborhood of Venetian Isles, not far from Shore Acres, St. Petersburg.

The child's mother and father are at All Children's Hospital at this time.
