9/11 Fire Truck to be on Display in St. Pete

The truck, which was restored by Remembrance Rescue Project, will be on display today and tomorrow at St. Petersburg Fire Station #6, 4825 9th Ave. N.

On Sept. 11, 2001, Rescue 5 was a fire truck stationed on Staten Island that responded to the attacks at the World Trade Center. Ten of the truck's 11 crew members died that day. 

As part of a Remembrance Project, Hillsborough County Firefighters Benevolent Association has given St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue the opportunity to display "FDNY Re5cue."

The truck, which was restored by Remembrance Rescue Project, will be on display today and tomorrow at St. Petersburg Fire Station #6, 4825 9th Ave. N.

It will be one diplsay from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. - noon on Tuesday. The public is invited to come see the truck for free.
