Body Found in La Quinta Motel

A 24-year-old woman was found dead Monday.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide at La Quinta Motel in the Lealman area.

Officials say 24-year-old Destynee Nekole Burkes of Gulfport was found dead in a motel room at 4999 34th St. North. The motel is in the Lealman area.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Detectives are currently on scene and interviewing people.
