Drive-By Shooting Leaves Man Injured

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

A St. Petersburg man was shot in the leg Tuesday standing outside his home during an apparent drive-by shooting, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Police said at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of 26th Avenue South the 30-year-old victim, "was shot by the occupants of a burgundy Honda Accord with dark tinted windows that was driving by the front of his house."

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds. 

No suspects or motive is known at this time, according to police. 

The investigation is ongoing.
