The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has charged Kevin Manzoli with attempted homicide and aggravated stalking after he allegedly broke into woman's home and began choking her.
Deputies said Manzoli, 47, gained access to the victim's home by punching out a window of the front door at 3801 58th Ave. N. Once inside, deputies said Manzoli began choking the victim and made threatening comments that he was going to kill her.
Neighbors who saw and heard what was going on pulled Manzoli off the victim and held him until deputies arrived on scene.
The alleged assault took place Friday, Dec. 7 around 6 p.m.
According to the arrest report, two days before the incident, Manzoli made multiple phone calls and sent text messages to the victim stating that he was going to kill her.
The two had previously been involved in a domestic relationship, authorities say.
This is the third time Manzoli has been arrested since August. Other charges include, domestic battery, threatening a public servant and disorderly intoxication. He was just released from jail on Dec. 3 for the domestic battery charge.
