Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank

St. Petersburg Police are searching for a heavy-set man that robbed a Wells Fargo Thursday.

A man walked into a Wells Fargo Thursday, handed the teller a note demanding money. 

According to St. Petersburg Police, the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the bank on a mountain bike. 

The robbery took place at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1000 Tyrone Blvd. N.

Police said the is a white male in his late 30's or early 40's, heavy set, wore a pale aqua colored t-shirt with a front pocket, navy blue shorts, white trimmed Oakley sunglasses, a USF Bulls hat, white sneakers and carried a navy blue backpack.

St. Petersburg Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying this bank robber. Anyone with information can call the non-emergency number at 727-893 7780, Text-A-Tip to 727-420-8911 or leave a confidential tip at 727-892-5000.
